I’ve been a member of many bands, original and cover. The most successful one to date is Synthetic, a melodic metal band out of Cambridge, UK, now based in Thessaloniki, Greece. The lockdown measures and a move to Italy shelfed that project for me, so I’ve spent the last few years writing and recording my own brand of southern-fried hard rock/heavy metal, best described as an amalgamation of Skynyrd, Pantera, Allman Brothers, Black Label Society, ZZ Top, and country music.
The lyrics are what drive this music, but I try my best to write cool-sounding riffs and arrangements. I don’t sing about chicks and whiskey and shit like that. My lyrics are honest and painful, highly critical, and touching on the truths that we are afraid to face. They do offer a glimmer of hope that only the most honestly introspective people will grasp. That said, my recent work is not a pretentious effort to show that I’m smarter or more observant than everyone else, rather, a call to arms for those wanting out of this hollow, fake, and empty society we have built for ourselves.
Who’s with me?
